At the end of 2021, David was commissioned by Manchester City Football Club to create a tribute to Colin Bell, Mike Summerbee and Francis Lee, who led the club through their 'golden era' of success from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. The sculpture, which is 1.5 times life-size, was unveiled on the 28th of November 2023, in front of the main entrance, on the west perimeter of the Etihad Stadium.
